The current financial system (taxes)
In 50 years income tax has tripled and sales tax has doubled. When do those taxes reach a breaking point? Republican and democrat both have the distinguished honor of voting for the place we are at today. Nearly 40 trillion dollars in debt. I doubt anyone can even fathom how much money this is and what have we to show for it?
Free healthcare and a healthy population? Quite the opposite as 40%, or 100 million, of American adults are obese. 60% of Americans live with at least one chronic disease.
Then we must have used that money to increase our livelihoods, right? Wrong again, in 2024 about 771,480 were homeless in America including almost 150,000 CHILDREN. Over 10%, or about 37 million Americans, live in poverty.
So where did all that money go? Wars started by deception and lies from our government. They never found the weapons of mass destruction just like they never found where the 2.3 trillion went that Donald Rumsfeld announced was missing on September 10th, 2001. 3.8 trillion is the estimate of foreign aid since WW2, with some countries using the aid to buy debt and charge the government interest on. Almost a trillion will go into interest payments alone in 2025. Seems to me we have been bamboozled by a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. If that is even an accurate description of modern America anymore.
